Description
Mount Bromo
(Indonesian: Gunung Bromo), is an active volcano and part of the Tengger
massif, in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329
meters it is not the highest peak of the massif, but it is the most well known. The
Ijen volcano complex is a group of stratovolcanoes, in East Java, Indonesia. It
is inside a larger caldera Ijen, which is about 20
kilometers wide. The Gunung Merapi stratovolcano (not to be confused with Central
Java's Gunung Merapi) is
the highest point of
that complex. Meru Betiri National Park covers 580 square
kilometres (58,000 hectares) of eastern Java. It receives few tourists as accessibility
is very difficult and the drive is a long bumpy trip, even by 4WD. But this
National Park is the best place for the visitors
who don't want to be a regular tourist. Tour to
Mount Bromo, Ijen Crater, Meru Betiri National Park and East Java is organized
as the following itinerary.
